Tutorial - How to Make Bow Tie Tee Shirts

This design works on mens size large to a babies onsie

Bow Tie Tutorial at Sisters, Sisters Blog

"My Dad and brother share a birthday and they both love to wear bow ties, so I thought it'd be fun to make them some shirts with bow ties on it. Basically they can now wear bow ties when they're relaxing, working in the yard, playing with the kids/grandkids, etc.  I used my favorite freezer paper and fabric paint method, which is really easy and fun to make many designs on shirts with. Of course, after making them shirts, I also had to make one for the little guy".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make a Wooden Arrow Necklace

Arrow Necklace Tutorial at Shades of Tangerine Blog

"I don't know if its the sunshine, or the fresh air or what, but I have been feeling super crafty this week.  The other day, I was absentmindedly staring at a container of bamboo forks and I thought to myself, "That would make a good arrow."  And so I made one into an arrow.  And then I made the arrow into a necklace.  And then I wore it.  And I love it.  Can you see what I see?  Don't these picks remind you of a bunch of arrows in a quiver? All those bumpy edges resembled the feathered ends to me".... Read more

Here's how I did it:  1.Take a sweater, top, cardigan (this motif will look interesting on the back of a cardigan".... Read more

Makeover for a fraction of the cost for new fixtures

Vanity Fixture Makeover Tutorial at the Comfy Crafter Blog

"I wanted to share a little victory I had with a project I have been debating for quite some time. When we moved into our house, the vanity light fixtures in the master bathroom were terrible.  They were dirty, they were rusty, they had the riveted glass cups over the lights, they needed to go. However, I looked and looked and never found anything I liked enough to justify paying the $50-100 price tag to replace one, much less two light fixtures. I finally got annoyed with them enough to just start messing with them, I figured they were hideous as it was, I could only make them better or if I screwed up I would just get new fixtures".... Tutorial - How to Make a Portable Picnic Blanket

Portable picnic blanket is easy to carry and easy to make

Picnic Blanket Tutorial at Clones 'n' Clowns Blog

"What’s the very first thing you need to think of when you’re going for a picnic ? And not just any picnic, the perfect picnic. You got it – a picnic blanket (how did you guess that ?!). So that had to be our 1st DIY of picnic month on CNC. I have been meaning to make a picnic blanket forever seeing as I don’t really like using the blankets we have on our bed or couch. I would rather have something made especially for picnicking – just because I like things to have their own use ! I also feel a picnic blanket has to be loud and fun, something to contribute to the colourful parcs and woods it will lie on. Rowan fabric had to be it – isn’t that print beautiful ?!  But it wasn’t just a question of which material to use… I wanted my picnic blanket to be light and easy to carry too.
