Tutorial - How to Add Pizzazz to a T-Shirt

Clever way to cover stains or jazz up a plain Tee

Tutorial at Cucicucicoo Blog

"when it’s not too cool/cold out, the kids at our town’s nursery and elementary schools can wear a white t-shirt instead of a school smock. this makes me very happy, because i really don’t like the smocks very much and then we only have two of them, so if i can’t wash them right away, they get a bit gunky. but really, i’m not a huge fan of white t-shirts, either. they’re just too boring. last year i spruced up one white t-shirt so as to cover some stains and quit being so boring.. but we still had these three t-shirts in dire need of a bit of pizzazz".... Tutorial - How to Make a Light Up Princess Dress

LED lights are used because they do not heat up

"I’ve sewn so many challenging things (including sewing with liquid); I constantly push myself to go where I haven’t seen others go yet.  It didn’t take me long to settle upon sewing a dress with lights in it.  Pretty tricky to figure out how to execute it until I had the means and the vision:  battery operated LED lights and tunnels (channels) for the lights to run through to be dispersed throughout the dress.  The key is thebattery operated lights.  The strands are not very long, just about 8′.  So for my dress I used two sets which were $7 a pack".... So if you have a sweater that the man in the house accidentally felted or if you have a thrift shop find, go ahead and wash it! Her sense of colour and playfulness in fabrics is wonderful, particularly in a climate where there is a predominance of grey. As usual, drawn to the colours and fabrics, I couldn't resist a metre of each of these coordinating fabrics.  I thought it would be fun to combine them in two aprons, using one for the base of each apron and the other for the pockets and trims. I could have made fancier, frillier aprons, but I really like the shape of a butcher's apron.  It is good and large for protection from spatters and spills, adjustable for many shapes and sizes and unisex".... Hydrangea Tutorial at The Comfy Crafter Blog
