Tutorial - How to Make an Old Maid Quilt Block

I am currently running a Block of the Month series on my FabricFascination blog.  Since it is a tutorial of how to make quilt blocks,  I thought that I would post it here as well.

This is the first block of the series.  It is sometimes known as an Old Maid block.  I prefer to think of it as a Flock of Birds.
