  2. Hi Peggi. Thanks so much for the new link! When I went to post it, the link you left for me no longer worked. I did some googling to find your new blog. I thought I had it. So glad you noticed and let me know. All fixed now.

Great site you have LuAnn! I'd love to post some of your tutorials. Please see my "submit your tutorial" link on the top right sidebar.

  8. Hi Angela. It's like we're playing phone tag! I returned your email at that address when you contacted me. Maybe even twice or was it also an etsy conversation? (I don't remember) I'm not sure why you're not receiving my replies. I'd LOVE for you to do an exchange. Since I haven't had luck contacting you by email, I'll try you on twitter. So glad you tried again. Sorry about that!

  10. Hi Lilla. Yes, I'm sorry. I didn't post it because there was no English. Had it been a simple tutorial where the photos would be enough for people to follow along, I would have posted it. Yours was rather complicated without the written instructions.

It looked fabulous though! If you add English, please resubmit it and I'll post it.

    Thanks!

  13. Hi,I have post my tutorial, yesterday but I don't see it, when you put it on your web, I put your button in my sidebar? I am new into this.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi Krosi. It could be a few weeks for tutorials to be posted after they've been submitted. I receive about 100 a month. Unfortunately not all of them can be posted.

There's no need to put my button on your sidebar until you've had two tutorials posted here.

    Thanks!

  15. Ok I will be waiting I post it yesterday, I will post one again when it is allready to put your button in my sidebar, many thanks!
    I hope I could have a chance.

    Have a nice day!

  16. I just want to tell you what a great site this is! Such a teriffic idea! I'm an ex-teacher myself and an avid crafter as well. When I create something that I'm proud of, or I learn a new technique, I can't wait to "teach" others to do it, too. I started my blog last year just for that purpose. I sent you a video tutorial today, and I hope to submit others in the future. I have added your button to my blog, and I will definitely be a frequent visitor! Thanks!

  17. Hi Cindy. Thanks so much for the kind words! I actually just watched the first video. It was great! But you were right about the ad at the end. Unfortunately! I watched the second. That was great too. It'll be up as soon as I get to it in the lineup. I'll link back.

    Thanks!

  27. Hi Dotty,
I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. It really is a great way to make a hexagon quilt. As far as the backing....I'm gathering different ways to finish it off and will hopefully in the near future post on how to do it.
    Love your site!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I LOVED it!! If you do a tutorial for the back, please submit it here. A hexie quilt (or maybe something smaller to start) is now on that list of mine!

Thanks for commenting here. I appreciate it.

Your tutorial will be up just as soon as it gets to the front of the line.

    Thank you!!

  36. I was wondering if you could maybe edit your list on the right-hand side of the blog (you know-that lists the genres of the tutorials!) It would make it so much easier to access what I'm looking for if they were in alphabetical order. When it's just on there mumbo-jumbo, I don't have 10 minutes to see if what I want is even there, much less looking through the (maybe) hundreds of tutorials that MIGHT have what I need. Just a thought. I was looking for a baby diaper wipes case, and didn't even see a sub-category of baby! So, as blog administrator, I'd say to go through your children category and subdivide it into baby/toddler/child...would make it much better.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi Pamela. Thanks so much for your suggestions. You know, just recently I was thinking that I needed to separate out the baby tutorials. You are so very right. I will definitely do that.

The links to the right are listed in order by which has the most posts first. I never thought that it would be more time consuming that way. I'll change it and we'll see how that goes.

I do appreciate you letting me know your thoughts. Thank you!

  43. Hello Dotty,

I came across your blog and wanted to get in touch.
We are Wazala www.wazala.com - an ecommerce solution that can be added to any website, blog or Facebook. Wazala adds an online store to your own blog pretty easily. It works with all CMS and blog engines out there, and can be installed onto your site with a simple copy and paste (no coding needed)!

The idea is simple, add an online store to your website, and sell your products online in a clean looking store, that does not direct your customers elsewhere. The entire process takes place within your site, elevating your own brand, and not directing visitors elsewhere.

You can spread your store to multiples sites, pages and even on your Facbeook business page all while managing one back end. Wazala is built for the tastemakers of the web, in particular artists like you. It’s also a great compliment to those using Etsy, as it allows you to spread your online sales further, keep your customer on your own site and brand it as you wish. A great start to selling on your own site for free, and upgrade once your business takes off.

I would love to talk to you about Wazala further, maybe you would use it yourself to sell your art, or your readers would be interested in knowing about it for their own ventures. I am sure you would be impressed by Wazala and your blog would benefit. Looking forward to hearing from you.
