Great kid project! I collect the crayons the restaurants hand out to the kids. (Those crayons usually end up in the trash after one use. What a waste!) When you melt down those cheap crayons (you know, the ones that hardly put any color down) all the extra unpigmented wax floats to the top. You can spoon that off and you're left w/great quality colors. We give the end products as gifts and kid charities.
