"Mayonnaise is a staple around here.... but I don't buy it at the market.
Homemade mayonnaise is so simple and inexpensive to make that I gave up
store-bought long ago in favor of a little mayo-self-sufficiency! Most mayonnaise recipes contain raw eggs, which are mixed with vinegar
and oil to make a creamy emulsion. I don't like the idea of feeding my
family raw eggs. Especially in a food that may sit in the fridge for a
