Do you love quilting, or have you always wanted to learn how? Here is an opportunity for a Totally Tutorial reader to receive The Quilt Block Book by Nancy Wick. Packed with photographs and diagrams for 75 quilt blocks, The Quilt Block Book offers something for both the beginner
and experienced quilter. This exchange is made available through The Quayside Publishing Group, and Totally Tutorials.
If you would like to make and share a tutorial using this book as inspiration, apply for this opportunity by leaving a comment below with the URL to your blog or website, and a way to contact you. The ideal
candidate will be someone comfortable working with fabric, have a blog
or website, and the ability to take nice
photos. Read more about how Tutorial Exchanges work on this page.
One Totally Tutorial reader will be chosen to receive a copy of The Quilt Block Book. Their resulting tutorial will be posted here on Totally Tutorials. Applications will be accepted through Thursday, December 5th. I will contact the winners of the exchange by Saturday, December 7th. They will then have until January 4th to complete their tutorials. This tutorial opportunity is open only in the USA.

I'd love to win this book! So far my quilt "blocks" have been basic shapes of trapezoids and squares. If I win this, it will give me a reason to branch out and try "real" quilt blocks. :)

Oh I would "LOVE" to win this beautiful book :)
ReplyDeleteI have been quilting for a while and sewing forever but my quilting has been (recently) mainly using up leftover fabric in squares for family members quilts :)
Although I did make this one a few years ago when my Son went off to college, it was a fun project :)

Have a lovely weekend, cheers, T. :)
Hello! This is Yiya Cucuy from thewomanonthehill.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteOne of the blocks in this book is "Storm at Sea;" I found this in the "look inside" at a major online seller that shows some of the pages in the book. This is one pattern I am really interested in learning, because it is made up of units with straight lines, but when it is all pieced together, there is this funky optical illusion that makes the seams look curvy - how cool is that!
And just to make it more interesting, the book has pictures with beautiful fabrics - great inspiration to experiment with color play!
Really interested! Picture Lighting
ReplyDeleteI would love to get this book and make a few tutorials out of it. I just recently got into quilt making and I love it! I have a few FQ bundles that would be so much fun to make blocks from this book with. My blog is justsomeboobs.blogspot.com I think) and while I don't blog very often, I do love posting finished objects on there. You can see the quilt top I made using Melissa's recent QAL on there. That was a fabulous experience and I would love to add to the blogger world of quilting.
ReplyDeleteWho won the book??? Can't wait to see their tutorial!
ReplyDeleteT@PoppyPlacePdx is the winner of the Quilt Block Book. She will be sharing her tutorial next month.
DeleteI am looking forward to seeing it too.
