Tutorial - Make a Hexagon Flower Zippered Bag

http://www.threadingmyway.com/2016/02/how-to-make-liberty-hexagon-flower.html
The flower is hand sewn onto the front

Tutorial at Threading My Way Blog

"I'm loving my latest zippered pouch - Liberty, hexies, flowers, echo quilting - all wrapped up into one little bag. It's always good when the end result is just as you pictured it in your head. Sometimes the designs I imagine, don't translate into reality, but with this one, everything fell into place. I took a few pics along the way, so I'll show how you can make one, too".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Baste English Paper Pieced Hexies

http://www.threadingmyway.com/2015/11/how-to-baste-english-paper-pieced-hexies.html
Use up tiny scraps of fabric and sew some hexies

Tutorial at Threading My Way Blog

"Today I thought I'd show you how I make my hexagons - getting them ready to sew together. Obviously you need scraps of fabric. The size of your fabric depends on how large your hexies will be. All my hexies are from my expanding stash of offcuts. I have bags and bags of offcuts from various sewing projects. Nothing gets thrown away".... Read more

"In the evening, there are some times when I just need a little project to work on.  Maybe something that I don’t really need to think about.  It comes together fairly quick and there aren’t a lot of extra pieces laying around like a hoop and a bunch of thread.  Hexagons are just that for me.  To me it is kind of mindless work that doesn’t require a whole lot of concentration or effort.  The honey doesn’t love these projects though because there are bits of fabric laying about the coffee table with hexagon papers along side".... Makes a cute bag for your latest crafting project

Tutorial at Nanny Craft 4 U Blog

"When planning a swap with hexies, I try to find a project by spinning the pins so that participants have a purpose in mind before the swap proceeds. On my Hexies board I found a hexie bag that used 16 hexagons and so built our swap around that.  We  swapped Rainbow Batik hexies and I am going to use them to make  my hexie bag.  So here is my Spin the Pins – Make a Hexie Bag".... Tutorial - How to Make a Hexagon Pillowcase

These make great gifts or to decorate the guest room

Hexagon Pillowcase Tutorial at A Spoonful of Sugar Blog

"Remember the hexies I was making last weekend? They have now been incorporated into a Pretty Pillowcase.   Using pretty florals, ginghams, and polka dots in shades of pink, blue, yellow, and green, I made 22 Hexies. They were hand stitched onto the cuff of the pillowcase to add old world charm. This is a fun scrap buster project and makes a pretty pillowcase which would look sweet on an iron bed, topped with a pretty quilt to match. I am going to make up a stack of these hexie pillowcases to give as Christmas gifts".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make Hexie Button Jewelry

Make them for yourself, or for anyone who loves to sew

"A few months back I watched a online video for a product called Phoomph for fabric.  It's made by Coats & Clark and it comes in either stiff or soft.  I couldn't wait to use it!  To see more about it click HERE.  I bought mine from Joann's online,  but they carry it in the store as well.  First you will need to download the hexie template.  I found it HERE. (Genius right?)  Don't forget to say "Thanks" and leave her a lovely comment!  I printed it out full size,  then used my copier to shrink it down 50%.  Cut out your tiny hexies"…. Tutorial - How to Make "Quilt as You Go" Hexagons

A good project to take on vacation

Hexagon Tutorial at Always Quilting Blog

"I have had a number of requests for instructions to quilt -as -you -go hexagons so here they are!  You can apply theses instructions to any size hexagon you wish to make.  You need backing fabric, a contrasting feature fabric (or fabrics), fusible wadding (or non-fusible wadding and basting spray), and thread to match your backing fabric (Aurifil of course!!).  Scraps of fabric and wadding are ideal. You use 2 hexagons, one smaller than the other.  The smaller one is the finished size. The smaller hexagon should have sides which measure 3/4 to 1 inch smaller than the large one.  Many different companies produce perspex templates for drawing hexagons, or if you’re confident you can draw your own using a compass".... Tutorial - How to Make a Hexagon Bowl

This cute bowl is reversible

Bowl Tutorial at Geta's Quilting Studio Blog

"It seams everybody loves to stitch hexagons, so here is a  hexagon bowl tutorial. You need some fabric scraps and interfacing scraps. The best interfacing is the one fusible on both sides. You can use interfacing fusible on one side or even batting. In this case, stitch/quilt the pieces to keep the layers together.  It is easier to prepare a large fabric/interfacing  piece then to cut out the smaller pieces. But the technique works fine with scraps too".... Read more
