These necklaces whip up in no time

Tutorial at Happier than a Pig in Mud

"These Hershey Kiss Shamrock Necklaces or Ornaments may just be one of the easiest crafts you'll ever do! I grabbed a bag of red, silver and green Kisses at Christmas with this idea in mind and think they really did turn out cute. The candy is simply hot glued together (I trimmed the paper tags off) and the stems are yarn. The necklace is a crocheted chain using an H hook then hot glued to the top, you can add a few chains as the stem too if you'd like. Such a cute little idea and there's a sweet treat for the child at the end of the festivities".... Read more

Recipe for a Breakfast Shamrock Shake

Tutorial at Chicago Jogger Blog

"To celebrate the new month of March {my birthday month!} and the upcoming Irish holiday in a few weeks, I have a healthy new green breakfast "milkshake" to share. Yes, green for shamrock. Can you guess what this recipe is a a copycat of? The Shamrock Shake from McDonald's, of course. The last time I had a Shamrock Shake was back in college. I remember driving around town with a friend one night in late March when an ice cream craving hit to find a McDonald's still serving the green treat. We eventually found one, but the shake wasn't as good as I remembered - it wasn't minty and had a weird soupy texture - and I haven't had another one since".... Read more

Clover Tutorial at Made with Hugs and Kisses Blog

"In no way do I consider myself a crochet expert. In fact I find I rarely make it through a large project purely because I lose interest  This is the main reason as to why I do not knit – it takes to loooong! Crochet however can be a really useful skill and there are so many fantastic teeny-tiny projects out there that don’t take that long to complete. Perfect for when you only have half an hour but are itching to create something. So without further ado, and in true St Patrick’s Day fashion, I share with you a pattern that I created to make miniature crochet clovers (They fit comfortably into the palm of your hand"....
