Tutorial - Make a Shadow Box Gift for Grandma

http://www.witandwander.org/diy-gift-for-grandma/
Unique gift you can customize according to your season of life

Tutorial at Wit and Wander Blog

"Announcing my pregnancy was one of the best moments I have ever shared with my family. My sweet girl is the first grand baby on either side of our family, so there was a lot of excitement and anticipation as we awaited her arrival. One of the people who was most excited for a new family member was my mom. She had always been an incredible mother to me and I knew she would be an even better grandma. I love handmade gifts that are personal and heartfelt, but don’t break the bank. I don’t think it has to be expensive to let someone know that you care about them. I made this sweet homemade shadow box gift for my mom and my mother-in-law as a thank you gift when they hosted a baby shower in our honor"..... Read more

Tutorial - Make Baby Foam Blocks with Pictures

http://southernbelleseamstress.blogspot.com/2015/03/baby-foam-blocks-with-pictures-tutorial.html
For a bunch of blocks, buy foam in bulk

Tutorial at Southern Belle Seamstress Blog

"I made 4 for my cute little nephew! I cannot wait to give them to him next month.  Also, if you noticed the Easter fabric the blocks are sitting on, it is because I wanted to leave a sneak peek to the next project. I am really excited for the tutorial!  Did you notice the top block looks a lot bigger than the bottom 3?? I cut the fabric squares 6 x 6 inches and the foam block was a good inch smaller so the fabric is loose. Live and learn right".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make a Photo Pocket Cushion

http://ld-p.blogspot.com/2014/08/diy-photo-pocket-cushion.html
Use fabric and clear vinyl to create a cushion cover with spaces to add photos

Tutorial at LDP Blog

"Instagram has become something of an integral piece in the lives of many, whether we like it or not. Whether it's photos of our pets, our meals or, in my case, our crafts, somehow, little square-cropped photos with vintage-style filters just get us going. However, yanking these pictures from their digital realm make for a cute, fun style, reminiscent of Polaroid pictures. Rather than simply tacking these to walls and notice boards, I thought of what other fun ways could be created to display these lovely photos, and I came up with my photo pocket pillow"....Read more

Tutorial - Baby Picture Bunting Blanket

http://www.gyctdesigns.com/2014/04/budding-baby-bunting-blanket-tutorial.html
Use baby photos in a keepsake blanket

Tutorial at GYCT Designs Blog

"First, you'll need to make bunting out of your baby's monthly pictures.  I set mine up so that I could print 4 of them to a page.  You can decide how big you want to make them.  Follow the instructions on your Fusible Fabric package for printing.  It is super easy. Next, decide how you want your bunting to lay on the fabric.  Take your double fold bias tape and lay it out on your main fabric.  I just did two rows, but you could do 3 or even 4.  The rows will depend on the size of your bunting pictures as well.  Experiment a little before you commit.  Then pin it in place".... Wear a favorite photo as a necklace

Tutorial at One O Blog

"Hi darlings,  returning from my free-feet-at-the-beach days which we posted on our Instagram, here I am making a tutorial I was dreaming of for a lot of time. Already at my birthday I wanted to make a DIY polaroid necklace, remember? Then we had all the confetti series and some crafty insights meeting two marvelous hand-makers (they’re Amoorella and Plexida, in case you missed them) and I never managed to make my own polaroid. Just want to warn you because this post is going to be a bit difficult so stick with me if you wanna get through it".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make a Vintage Photo Holder

Make Photo Holders Using Vintage Items

Tutorial at Hearts & Sharts Blog

"When I came across my Grandmother’s old spools of thread in my Mom’s crafting room, they charmed me instantly and I knew they were “keepers”.  Mom passed away five months before our wedding and we had already been planning a vintage style, DIY shindig, but Mom’s passing put a lot of things in perspective and really inspired me to create a wedding that was very personal and full of love.  I wanted each and every person there to feel the love. Like, before they hit the whiskey bar.  Adding vintage pics of family seemed like the perfect touch, but  I couldn’t just scatter them all over the tables – BOOM – idea:  photo holders made from my Granny’s old thread spools".... Tutorial - How to Make an Expandable Photo Box

I remember making one of these at a Scrap Book Conference

Photo Box Tutorial at Craft Cravings Blog

"Happy Monday. Yes, it’s Monday again. Lame!  Today’s photos have a little bit of an ugly lighting issue. By the time I finished the project, a bunch of clouds rolled in and we’re  expecting rain tonight. I may go back and re-take some of these photos, but they aren’t too bad, I’m just being picky. Anyway, back to the project. This little exploding box is easy to make and it makes a great little gift! I made one for my mother for mother’s day last year in purples and greens. It had photos of all three of her kids. Each “level” of the box had photos of us at different ages. Level one was baby, level two was “older kid” and third level was more recent pictures. She really liked it and I know you guys will too. It’s so fun and depending on what type of paper you use, you can make it for any occasion".... Read more
