Tutorial - How to Make a T-Shirt Dress

http://www.marymarthamama.com/crafty-cat/t-shirt-dress-tutorial-pattern/
T-shirt dress tutorial and printable pattern for size large

Tutorial at Mary Martha Mama Blog

"I went about my morning, doing this and that, and I descended the stairs to the basement to do laundry.  And somehow, I have no idea how, I accidentally got bleach on my dress.  My t-shirt dress.  Again, not fancy, but the perfect-fitting, comfy, wonderful t-shirt dress of my dreams.  Ruined. Yes, I could go out and buy a new one.  But I looked and they didn’t have them any more.  So I decided that I needed to make a clone.  And that’s just what I did.  So today I’m sharing my tutorial for how I made it".... Tutorial - Make a T-Shirt Flower Embellishment

http://www.boreidesign.com/2016/06/how-to-make-easy-scrap-t-shirt-flower.html
For brooches, to embellish clothing or hair bows

Tutorial at Borei Design Blog

"I love re-imagining and recycling not only home decor but clothing as well. I just finished refashioning a long sleeved, winner knit shirt into a new summer top. I had planned on posting it first but it is currently in the wash. I (being the graceful person that I am) unfortunately spilled something on it right after I finished it. Therefore, I will first be sharing what I did with some of the scraps for now and the shirt makeover later.  When I was making the shirt, I couldn't decide if I wanted to add a flower embellishment or not. I eventually decided to make a removable one, so that I could wear the shirt with or without it".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Add Sleeves to a T-Shirt

http://www.ninamakes.com/2016/05/adding-sleeves-to-t-shirt-tutorial.html
Add sleeves to a short sleeve tee, and get a little more life out of it

Tutorial at Nina Makes Blog

"For some reason Harry has an entire drawer crammed full of short sleeve T-shirts, but only four or five long sleeve tees. Since we are going into winter on this side of the world (bottom really!) I think a few more long sleeves will come in handy.  So I had a light bulb moment and thought why not add sleeves!  Harry has a couple long sleeve tees that look like short sleeve tees with long sleeves underneath, but are in fact only one layer.  So why not add sleeves myself?  With a tutorial for you all of course".... Tutorial - Make a T-Shirt for Grandma

http://nontoygifts.com/kid-made-gifts-t-shirt-for-grandma/
An awesome Christmas gift for grandma that kids can make

Tutorial at Non Toy Gifts Blog

"My parents haven’t hugged my kids in two and a half years. I knew it would come to this but there was no other way around it. I had to say yes to the man of my dreams and if he happened to live on the other side of the world, I packed my bags and moved farther away from home.  My grandma was my best friend when I was a little girl and it makes me sad to see that my kids can’t have the same connection with their grandparents. Crossing an ocean is easy to do on the map but it involves more in real life: finances, time and courage to fly with two energetic little boys. We try to make up for the distance with Skype, photos and gifts".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make a Boxy Cuffed Tee

http://www.makery.uk/2015/10/fo-boxy-cuffed-tee-tutorial/
Tutorial for a comfy and versatile boxy tee

Tutorial at Makery Blog

"I’ll begin by apologising for the image quality in this post. I am having some serious photography woes at the moment. Doesn’t seem to matter what I do. Winter light levels have kicked in and I have some work to do to try and counteract this. I have a total mental block when it comes to the technicalities of camera settings but am TRYING to get my head around compensating for low light conditions. Right now…it just ain’t happening. And short of discontinuing blog posts until I sort it (not an option) I’m having to suck it up and make do with what I can muster photography wise for now. So basically….sorry for the s*** photos…That said…I am pretty pleased with this top".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Add Sleeves to a T-Shirt

http://www.coffeeandthread.com/2013/10/add-sleeve-to-short-sleeve-t-shirt.html
Step by step tutorial to alter summer tees

Tutorial at Coffee +Thread Blog

"Kids Clothes Week is here! It's a friendly challenge to sew for children one hour a day for a week. My first project is for my oldest who is usually neglected when it comes to sewing. Putting his summer clothes away, I realized that he had a few short sleeve t-shirts that he never had a chance to wear. Between clearance sales at Target and Mini Boden he had more t-shirts that it was possible for him to wear. It was time to turn them into long sleeve shirts".... Read more

Video tutorial for a simple T-shirt

Tutorial at Curly Made Blog

"This week I decided to take you with me on my most recent craft experiment, and instead of making a test version as I usually do, just went ahead and filmed as it went along. This is not the best-made t-shirt of all time because I have very limited sewing skills, but it is wearable and I'm proud of my first attempt. Maybe there will be more sewing projects in the future".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Recycle Old T-Shirts into Yarn

http://www.makery.uk/2015/02/diy-recycle-old-t-shirts-into-yarn/
Turn an unwanted T Shirt into a ball of yarn for your next crochet or knitting project

Tutorial at Makery Blog

"Last night, I became aware that I’d got through the day having made nothing. I’m leaning quite heavily on creative pursuits at the moment to keep me calm and sane. (Do you find therapy in DIY?) So last night I was feeling a bit twitchy and decided to try making some T Shirt Yarn. Little did I know how addictive it would be! Now there are more than a few tutorials on this out there. I could have just linked to any one of those but a) that would be a boring post for you! and b) there were a couple of  things that I discovered that I wanted to add into the mix, that I think helped me achieve a better result than my first attempt".... Tutorial - Refashion a Cropped T-Shirt

http://portialawrie.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/refashion-cropped-tee-to-banded-tee.html
Lengthen and update a T-Shirt in 20 minutes

Tutorial at Makery Blog

"This is a really simple refashion that elevates a cropped boxy tee to something a little more interesting and with a bit more coverage. I don't do "cropped". Trust me....nobody wants to see that! This can work with a standard tee too. really anything that you want to add a bit of length or design detail to. It's a great way to use up an otherwise redundant strip of a favourite fabric. Pick one thats a similar weight and drape to the top you're refashioning. I'm mixing woven with jersey here".... Read more

"My t-shirt pattern is finished now. I’m going to share the size 4T pattern (free) for anyone that is interested.  The complete pattern has sizes 2T-12 years.  This is a pattern for a basic t-shirt (with or without a front pocket), and it would work for a boy or a girl. Tutorial - How to Solar Print a T-Shirt

http://www.thechillydog.com/2014/10/tutorial-solar-printed-t-shirt.html
Make a customized t-shirt

Tutorial at The Chilly Dog Blog

"I was wandering the aisles of Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts a few weeks ago when I discovered a small display of Lumi Inkodye. I have enjoyed a few fabric dyeing projects in my day and have even experimented with screen printing, but I had never seen anything like the Inkodye before.  It's solar activated. So you spread it on your fabric, set it out in the sun, and whatever sections of the ink are exposed to the sun, dye the fabric. The ink that's not exposed washes out.  I simply had to give it a try. I was not disappointed by the result. The crisp lettering looks as if it could have been screen printed. The best part is, it's 1000 times easier than screen printing".... Read more

Tutorial at Upcycled Design Lab Blog

"I had this red shirt that I wanted to use for a pattern. It fit easily inside the men's t-shirt so I decided it would probably work. Most of the flaws pictured above only showed on the outside of the shirt so I decided early on to flip the garment inside out for my new t-shirt. Deconstruct shirt by cutting off collar and sleeves and by opening sleeve seams and garment side seams. Leave shoulder seams intact".... Read more

Tutorial - Favorite Team T-Shirt Banner

http://maidenjane.blogspot.com/2014/09/diy-t-shirt-tailgate-banner-spirit.html
Create a banner using T Shirts and scrap fabrics. Perfect for tailgates or dorm decor

Tutorial at Maiden Jane Blog

"It's football season and, around here, a few people cheer for O - H - I - O!  I have been thinking about making a banner out of old T shirts for a while now.  Having a few Ohio State shirts in my scrap pile, I decided to make an Ohio State banner.  I was inspired by my son's cross-country meets. All the various schools set up tents for the athletes to gather. Most have tents in their school colors with the school name printed on them. Ours has neither. I offered to make a banner if we could gather old T shirts. We could even take T shirt scraps and paint letters on them. It would be a simple and inexpensive way to show school pride".... Read more

Tutorial - How to Make Lego Figure Stenciled Shirts

http://plentyofpaprika.blogspot.com/2014/08/diy-lego-figure-stencil-shirts.html
Tutorial includes stencils for boy and girl figures

Tutorial at Plenty of Paprika Blog

"Last week we started a new homeschool year and to celebrate, we made Homeschool Is Awesome Lego T-shirts.  I made a really simple stencil and it worked great, however I was inspired by my friend's little girl who wanted hair on her Lego figure to improve the stencil design. This time, instead of one big stencil, I broke it down to parts for easy customization. Also, we had issues with paint showing through when the hair was added to the Lego head, after the Lego head was painted. Fixed that as well, with 3 head designs  - hair and face fitting together like a puzzle and a simple block head. We tried it out and my kids really liked how they turned out".... Read more

"Lately it's been a straight choice between either making OR blogging. My schedule isn't currently allowing me to do both....and at some points hasn't allowed me to do either. Well...that's about to change as I can't continue with that particular status quo any longer. But in the meantime...back to that backlog of makes... First up is this quick and dirty tee refashion. Nothing spesh. A simple tee reshaping that takes about 20mins. ALMOST not blogworthy at all, except that I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my little technique for ensuring I adjust both sides of a garment evenly and identically".... Read more

Tutorial at What's Mummy Up To Blog

"Personally, I've never really been a fan of licenced clothing, so I've managed to avoid any of the Frozen licenced clothing so far.  But having said that, with girls that are such huge fans of this movie, it is exciting for them to wear something associated with their movie-crush.  So I thought I'd have a go at making them some frozen-inspired embellished T-shirts ... you know, frozen-ish, obvious enough for the girls to be excited by them, but not too obvious for Mummy.  And here's What Mummy's Been Up To".... Tutorial - How to Add Vintage Lace to a Tee

http://fleurdelisquilts.blogspot.com/2014/05/embellish-favorite-tee-with-vintage-lace.html
Turn a plain tee into a pretty top with lace

Tutorial at Fleur de Lis Quilts Blog

"I love tee shirts.  They are cool and comfortable in our Louisiana heat, and I've found some simple ones at Woman Within that fit.  They are soft, light weight, and long.  Perfect. Except.  They are kind of plain. Then I accidentally ordered two of the same blue.  After the little discount I applied to my order, returning it cost more than the tee.  Oh well, keep that baby.  Then I wore a different tee to work...it has a pretty lace inset across the shoulder seam and sleeve.  IDEA!  Use my vintage lace to do something like this. Oh yea".... Read more
